Elizabeth is one of the women who origionally brought Wise Woman Weekend to Ontario. Since that time Wise Woman has blossomed into Wise Woman Events, which supports growth and development of women through various healing based projects and events in the community.
Elizabeth is a registered nurse who has worked in many areas of nursing over the past 24 years. As a registered nurse she has had the opportunity to explore healing from both a conventional and non conventional
perspective. This has lead her to an appreciation of the importance of both modalities and the ability to see the benefits of the marriage of both. Elizabeth is both a mother and a grandmother. Her best days are spent with her daughter Katherine, her son Hayden and her beautiful grand daughter Jocelyn and her horse Skukum.

Pagan Prayer Beads
Meditation and prayer beads go hand in hand. The smooth gentle flow of the beads as they slip effortlessly through the fingers focuses and stills the mind which further enhances the gifts of meditative prayer. As if that is not enough prayer beads offer much more. Prayer beads can be created as a dedication to the Goddess/God, the elements, an animal totem; in short they are a celebration of all life. This year the sacred prayer beads we will be creating will be in keeping with the theme of fire. They will honour the element of fire with all its passion, beauty and creativity. After creating our prayer beads we will consecrate them in salt water and finish with a meditative chant to this fabulous element.
An Intimate History of the Sacred Goddess
This seminar is a journey into the origins of the Goddess, her sacred
connection to our ancient ancestry, and her virtual disappearance from the human landscape. We will explore the ancient ritual used by the early people including artifacts and symbols designed to impart information and document history.
We will delve into the many questions surrounding the sacred feminine and her importance to both women and men from ancient and modern times. Where did the Goddess originate? What was her relevance? Where has she been? Is that her we see on the horizon once more?

Julie's roots are deeply connected to the ebb and flow of the natural world. She moves in tune with nature and celebrates the never-ending seasonal changes it affords. She has cultivated both a strong knowledge base and a rich connection to the Goddess ancestry. Julie has spent many years involved in personal and formal study and reflection of Goddess spirituality, which she continues to pursue. She has completed a two-year apprentice as a Shamanic Healing Practitioner, in addition to Reiki and Reiki drumming. In addition to her involvement in Wise Woman Events, Julie is also an integral contributor to Wild Ginger. She is also an active member of "The Circle", at Brescia College in London, Ontario. Julie is both a mother and a grandmother. Despite her numerous committments Julie finds time to create and tend to a herbal and flower garden, which gives her great pleasure.

Lovely Lavender
Lavender has been used for centuries for its healing properties, but did you know that lavender is also a culinary herb? Come and explore the medicinal, culinary, and magical uses of lavender. We will sample some culinary treats, teas, and make lavender bath fizzes. This workshop is limited to 12 participants.
Celtic Shamanism
The Celts were a people deeply connected to the cycles of the land. They believed in the spirits of animals, trees, plants, lakes, rivers, rocks, etc. Through stories, poems, and songs, their history has been passed down through generations. In this workshop, we will journey to the lower world to meet our power animals and then journey with them to connect with the spirits of the land to hear the stories she has to tell.
Please bring a rock or crystal of your choice, a blanket or mat to lie down on, a blanket to cover you up if it is cool, a scarf to cover your eyes, and your journal if you wish to record your journeys.

In addition to her retail experience Heather practices Aroma therapy for massage and Reiki. She is both a certified Reiki master Practitioner and an aroma massage therapist.

Linda's journey seriously began when she quit smoking eight years ago. An increased awareness of health and a wonderful naturopathic doctor have lead her to many alternative health practices. This eventually lead her to starting her own business, Ion Energy. As a practitioner, Linda, will come to your home or place of business to give ion footbaths.  Originally a classically trained pianist, Ann-Marie Boudreau's enthusiasm in exploring sound deepened in the nineties after meeting and studying Soundwork with Gary Diggins. Using instruments from traditions across the globe, soundwork utilizes an intimate knowledge of the chakra system, shamanic traditions and the vibrational nature of our bodies to enhance and deepen our life experience.
Ann-Marie is a soundwork practitioner, spiritual psychotherapist, multi-instrumentalist and improvisational vocalist with a private practice in Toronto. Her work with clients addresses the needs of the soul and spirit as well as the human experience. Moving into partnership with her clients she supports them by mirroring the wisdom they bring to their own healing process. One of her special gifts is encouraging others to explore their own personal vocal expression moving them gently and playfully beyond their fears and inhibitions.
She has presented soundwork at a variety of retreats, expos, hospice centers and conferences. She regularly facilitates workshops throughout Ontario focused on raising energy through sound play, cultivating soulfulness through sound ritual, reducing stress and fostering the imagination through sound 'journeys'. As a faculty member of the Transformational Arts College she conducts soundwork for sonic rituals in some of the College programs.
Ann-Marie has explored the creative arts from an early age. She studied pottery at the Ontario College of Art creating and selling her work from several Toronto galleries. In painting she specializes in the study and teaching of mandala artwork as a meditation. She has studied a wide variety of dance forms from classical ballet and jazz to free form ecstatic dance, meditative movement and Gabrielle Roth's 5 Rythms. She has also created and taught movement workshops throughout Ontario. Ann-Marie spent time studying Tantric and fire-breath work with Toronto Tantric teacher, Lucy Becker. Together with fellow psychotherapist, Jinus Rafezadeh, the two have created an introductory workshop to the path of tantra encouraging participants to open and enjoy all of their senses in a gentle and playful manner.
Ann-Marie has also co-founded the Sound and Breath Group with integrative breath therapist Michele Meehan. Utilizing a combination of soundwork, breathwork and energy work, this very special group supports individuals facing illness, terminal illness and their final journey through the dying process.
She performs regularly at a variety of events and fundraisers in and around Toronto. Presently she is recording her second CD. Her first CD, "Dreams of Ancient Lands", was recorded with Gary Diggins.

 Jinus Rafezadeh , Ph.D., specializes in interpersonal psychotherapy, the meditative arts, NLP, Past Life Regression and is a registered holistic practitioner. She is a certified Clinical hypnotist and a member of the prestigious National Guild of Hypnotists and Canadian Reiki Association. Jinus works in the area of addictions, phobias, anxiety and stress management and is a firm believer of energy medicine. Her counseling sessions are enriched with realistic and multidimensional approaches to mental and physical health. Jinus runs her private practice in the heart of down town Toronto.
Jinus is also the creator of the well known CD "Sensual Meditation" which takes a refreshing approach to sensuality, sexuality and spirituality when added together with the sultry vocals of Ann-Marie Boudreau.

 Lisa Hartt Spillane has been a singer songwriter & sound maker for over 45 years. Raised in Montreal, Lisa is a Juno award nominee for "Starwatcher", The Lisa Hartt Band's first album. She has worked, recorded & toured with some of Canada's and the world's legendary singers, writers, musicians and producers such as Anne Murray, Ken Tobias, Gino Vanelli, April Wine, Rayburn Blake of Mashmakhan & The Lisa Hartt Band, Phil Ramone, David Foster, Maurice White & Natalie Cole to name a few, bringing her own brand of enthusiasm, joy and inspiration to the Sound Circle.
In her late 40's Lisa graduated from Concordia University with Distinction in Communication Arts, receiving the medal for most outstanding graduate majoring in Sound. Lisa also studies improvisation with Rhiannon (Bobby Mcferrin's "Voicestra" group) learning more about bringing the gift of vocal freedom to the world.
She is actively pursuing a career as a Sound Practitioner graduating shortly from an intense two year study program "Sound as Soulwork" taught and developed by pioneer, Gary Diggins. www.garydiggins.com.
In her practice, Lisa combines Reiki (Level II) with Sound work for an energetic sonic bath balancing the Chakras and creating deeply felt experiences.

For 60 minutes Ann-Marie and her soundwork colleagues will wrap you in a blanket of live, enveloping sound. Instruments from traditions across the globe will be played around and over you all the while being accompanied by Ann-Marie's special brand of soulful vocals. Some have considered this a deep meditation and others a sound massage or a visioning experience. Let your imagination guide you. Make sure to bring a blanket and pillow along with you to curl up on for comfort.

Exploring Dowsing for Rods and Pendulums-all levels

Kathleen is a certified hypnotherapist, and has been fascinated with the practice of dowsing since 1992. She has studied with various dowsing and kinesiology experts in Canada and the US. In 1993, she achieved certification and attended advanced courses for the Results System (integrated system of applied kinesiology), from the Institute of Higher Healing in Virginia. A past member of various dowsing organizations such as the American Society of Dowsers, she actively teaches self-developed courses in various aspects of consciousness studies in the United States and Canada. (By day, she is a methodologist and process development specialist for a large financial institution. Her life is all about. protocols. the heart and science of accurate dowsing.)

Dowsing Workshop: demonstrations and teaching techniques for rods, pendulum, other tools - and making/using your own charts - comes with reading list.. - 3 hours
Workshop description: In this high-level overview, beginners and experienced dowsers will enjoy this workshop - lots of new ideas and accuracy-enhancing ideas will be presented. Overview applications and protocols for dowsing - water, maps, health, people, personal queries, "time travel" protocols, human energy systems (we'll look at three), relationship to applied kinesiology. If weather permits, we'll be doing it all outside.
We will quickly fly by the following topics:
- History of dowsing
- Basic and advanced concepts
- Demonstrations and overview of techniques, tools, applications
- Accuracy and consistency - why it works, perceptions of failure, teaching yourself consistency, through inconsistent results
- Group and independent training - exercises
- Various styles of protocols, charts and methods (surrogate, sample, etc.)
- Ways to construct your own re-usable, expandable charts
Participants should bring:
- Note book and pencil / pen
- Clipboard (there are handouts and this keeps it from blowing)

Healing Oasis
 Lori has worked as a registered nurse in mental health for 24 years. Over the past 12 years she has integrated complementary healing arts into her life's work. These arts include reflexology and Karuna Reiki. Lori's spiritual journey has assisted her in the cultivation of her life's path which has assisted her in the creation of her business: Bird's Bodyworks. She is a Karuna Reiki master/teacher/practitioner. She is certified with the RAC in reflexology and is now a qualified teacher of reflexology under the RAC umbrella.

Deirdre Norman is a practicing witch and Tarot consultant who has worked with her community to re-establish rites of passage. A long tradition exists of a village being served by a wise woman or witch.
